The
essence of our Mission is "Health
Through Education." Our goal is to serve the
community with educational programs and
services that provide the opportunity to
improve the overall health and well being of
individuals of all ages.
Over thirty years ago, community leaders at Doctors Medical Center formed the Foundation, as an independent 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. We have evolved to become a very highly respected community action agency. Each year we serve nearly fifty thousand folks in Stanislaus County and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to serve the community with educational programs and services that provide the opportunity to improve the overall health and well being of individuals of all ages. Exploring this website you will find that DMC Foundation offers quite a unique variety of programs.
To assist us in achieving our goal, DMC Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of Thomas Truax as our new Executive Director. “Tom understands our vision and mission, has superior leadership skills and has demonstrated a desire to lead us through these difficult economic times,” said John Peltier, DMC Foundation Board President. “Through Tom’s leadership, our goal is to not only maintain our health education and service programs, but to expand their reach so that we can better serve the ever-increasing needs of our community.”
“DMC Foundation, through its many services, touches the lives of many. I am honored to be part of such a great team,” said Truax. “For the most part of my adult career, I have been fortunate to serve populations that are at risk. At this time in my life, I can think of no other place where I belong more than with DMC Foundation.” Tom joins DMC Foundation with a strong background in non-profit executive administration, fund development and marketing.
